Senior Mechanic / Maintenance Lead – Manufacturing
Location: Fife, WA
Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $95,000–$100,000 annually
About the Role
A well‑established production facility is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanic / Maintenance Lead to oversee all maintenance operations and ensure the reliability of equipment and building systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, leading a maintenance team, optimizing workflows, and driving improvements across a fast-paced industrial or food‑grade manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support maintenance technicians in day-to-day operations.
- Manage maintenance priorities, including equipment repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Maintain and update maintenance procedures, documentation, and departmental SOPs.
- Organize, audit, and track service logs to maintain compliance with operational standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, and increase equipment efficiency.
- Perform or oversee installation, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and production equipment.
- Conduct maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fabrication systems.
- Support a safe workplace by enforcing safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Travel to additional sites as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 years of maintenance, facilities, or manufacturing leadership experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems (PLC, VFD, conveyors).
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system components.
- Skilled in the safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to interpret basic math and measurement tools.
- Certifications such as HAZMAT, HAZWOPER, or CPR are beneficial.
- Refrigeration experience and food industry exposure are preferred.
- Availability for evening or weekend work as needed.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Work Schedule
- Standard day shift, Monday–Friday
- Extended hours and on‑call support as required
- Weekend work as needed
