Project Accountant ($75,000 - $90,000) - Onsite in Fort Worth
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Construction Project Accountant for a client in the commercial construction industry, located in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves managing and monitoring the financial aspects of ongoing construction projects, including budget preparation, expense tracking, and billing to ensure projects are financially on track and compliant.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, regularly reviewing financial performance to ensure projects remain within scope.
- Create and maintain budgets in the accounting system, including contract updates and change orders.
- Generate accurate and timely AIA construction billing, including lump sum and GMP formats.
- Perform detailed monthly job cost reconciliations, analyze project costs, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Handle collections to ensure timely receipt of accounts receivable.
- Compile information for external audits and assist with improving internal processes for efficiency.
- Support management teams with ad hoc projects and streamline financial operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience in construction accounting, including handling AIA billing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
