Job Summary
The Liberty County Board of Commissioners is seeking motivated, enthusiastic candidates for the position of Administrative Secretary. This position is responsible for providing administrative and customer service support to the Recreation and Parks Department. The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of computers and be able to meet and greet the public in a professional manner. This is a full-time position with an attractive benefits package. The typical work schedule is 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours duty. Major Job Duties
Greets visitors and assists with program registration, calls, deliveries, reservations, and payments. Accepts facility reservations for the general public, community groups, schools and special events; maintains reservation logs, issues keys, and processes deposit refunds. Composes and types letters, memoranda, correspondence, and reports. Maintains filing systems, both hard copy and digital. Maintains the LCRD website and social media accounts. Assists with the preparation of marketing material and news releases. Prepares, tracks, and reconciles concession stand and pool admission funds. Assists with evaluations, coach meetings, rosters, and schedules for all sports programs. Assists with ticket sales and admissions to LCRD-hosted tournaments. Maintains office supplies and forms, through online ordering and in store pick up. Assists in obtaining concessions and janitorial items. Performs various related duties as assigned.   • Less than one year of related experience required.
  • Possession of a valid Georgia driver"s license and acceptable driving record. Physical Demands
  • Typically performed at a desk while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping.
  • Occasionally lifts light objects, climbs ladders, and distinguishes between shades of color.
  • Typically performed in an office or outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. Salary & Benefits
The Administrative Secretary position is full-time with a minimum annual compensation of $35,318.40 (Grade 10).
Work hours are typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with occasional after-hours duty. The Liberty County Recreation Department is located in Hinesville, Georgia.
