Position Overview: 


The Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with key program stakeholders providing administrative support in grantmaking, training, coalition priorities and functions. The Program Coordinator will also support billing, invoicing, and budget management with vendors and government partners. This position also supports both in-person and virtual event and workshop logistics. Finally, this role will be key to developing program materials, communication with partners, and data entry into relevant databases.   


What you will do:  

  • Assist Programs leadership with coordination of priorities and projects, including scheduling, budget management and material development. 
  • Provide general administrative support to the programs department, including coordinating key projects with the Youth Justice, Environmental Justice, and Housing Justice teams. 
  • Support programs through training, public events, such as vendor coordination, check requests, and consultant payment. 
  • Provide coverage and note taking on key meetings, brief staff, virtual office organization, prepare correspondence and mailings, and scheduling. 
  • Help maintain financial tracking systems as well as review and submit invoices. 
  • Coordinate and support event planning and logistics for Program Team events. 
  • Compile training session evaluation results and conduct data entry. 
  • Provide maintenance of outreach lists across Programs teams. 
  • Maintain and organize data storage systems and ensure consistent archiving of information. 
  • Liaise cross departmentally with other departments including finance, and community partners externally.   
  • Support in grant submissions.

Requirements

 

What you will have: 

  • Education: High school diploma, Certificate of completion, or equivalent, with a preference for personal lived/professional experience. 
  • 2 years’ experience in a key support role preferably in a nonprofit.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Ability to speak multiple languages a plus. 
  • Proficiency in Office365 and project management apps (Slack, Asana, etc.) 
  • Commitment to social and racial justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. 

Physical demands: 

  • Ability to operate a remote workstation and laptop/screen for extended periods. 
  • Ability to travel for in-person co-working, meetings, events and live in Los Angeles County.
