Job Description:
MoveDocs is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing accounting team. The position will contribute to the day-to-day and monthly accounting work for the company. The ideal candidate will be ready to roll up their sleeves, contribute and help the team meet monthly deadlines while growing their knowledge. This position will report into the controller.
This position is based in our Las Vegas, Nevada office.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Analyzes accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Communicates with vendors as needed and investigates and resolves discrepancies in billings and payments.
- Responsible for processing payments and responding to vendor inquiries.
- Reconciles entries between general ledger and external subledger.
- Assists in the month end close and other accounting duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
- Fundamental and working knowledge of accounting concepts.
- Must be willing and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Work autonomously and as part of a team, assisting team members as needed.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills.
