The Lead Program Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of the group home and the clients daily living.
General Responsibilities
Work directly under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services
Treat all clients with dignity and respect
Work cooperatively with fellow LOU staff
Client Daily Living Duties
Provide assistance in personal hygiene care
Transport clients to and from activities and appointments
Meal preparation
House cleaning
Implement and follow all established recreational programs
Administer medication in accordance with training and procedures
Follow through on any and all established behavior programs
Administrative Duties
Manage a home of 4-5 individuals
Communicate pertinent information to all group home staff
Inventory management, including but not limited to: client clothing, household supplies, groceries, etc.
Write clear and concise progress notes
Ensure that all policies and procedures set by upper management are followed
Qualifications
BS/BA or equivalent is required
Must be 18 years or older
Strong computer skills
Successful administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience with complex calendar management
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, etc.)
Proven professional written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
Must be able to successfully complete all NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities mandated trainings within the first 120 days of employment
