Summary
** SCHEDULE / FULL-TIME 7:30AM - 4:00PM **
Job Summary: Under moderate supervision, the Patient Registration Associate performs patient and/or specimen registration. Serves as the front-line representative of the department or laboratory and acts as a resource for patients and their families. This position is primarily assigned to the Central Registration location but also covers satellite Patient Access areas (Rehab, Outpt BH, Infusion Center, Lab, Imaging, etc.) as well as Telemedicine registration functions. This position is responsible for the accurate registration of scheduled and unscheduled outpatients/admissions including demographic and insurance information. This position verifies, or re-verifies, insurance eligibility and benefits and collects patient balances due as appropriate. This position plays a key role in the OR and Cath Lab throughout.
Requirements: High School diploma or GED equivalent. One to three (1-3) years of experience. Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, Cerner, Synquest, Standard Office Equipment, Medical terminology, Medical equipment, Medicpac.
