Lifecore has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer supporting our packaging department. The primary responsibility of this position is to support automated manufacturing and packaging processes by troubleshooting and resolving existing process issues as well as identifying, designing, and implementing new processes and process improvements. 

In this critical engineering role you’ll have the opportunity utilize your skills in a highly regulated industry by:

• Investigating and resolving manufacturing issues 
• Seeking improvements in the process, related equipment or facilities
• Collecting and analyzing relevant process data to aid in changes which improve the process
• Interacting with all appropriate departments to facilitate the introduction of new manufacturing processes or changes to existing manufacturing processes
• Performing the selection and installation of packaging manufacturing equipment and systems 
• Ensuring compliance with the Quality System and Design Control requirements
• Assisting maintenance in diagnosing equipment failures

This position could be a great fit for you have solid engineering skills and mechanical aptitude along with the following:

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Packaging preferred)
• 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, medical device or biopharmaceutical preferred
• “Hands on” mechanical aptitude and engineering skill
• In depth understanding of documents, SOP's, and technical drawings
• Ability to work with manufacturing leaders to create a more robust manufacturing operation

Starting Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually with consideration for relevant skills and experience
