How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:
As a Buyer II you will be responsible for negotiating and purchasing supplies, equipment, and services from suppliers. Maintains inventory targets and manages supply plans against those targets, including maintenance of purchasing data/parameters in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
What you’ll do:
- Plans and procures medical supplies, packaging, equipment, office supplies, and services, in compliance with FDA, ISO, AATB, and other relevant industry standards. Manages inventory levels to target expectations and customer service availability agreements.
- Identifies production risks and ways to mitigate such risks, utilizing problem solving skills and collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Partners with suppliers to ensure receipt of quality materials. Provides forecast updates to suppliers, as necessary.
- Collaborates with Accounting and Inventory Control to resolve invoice and receipt discrepancies.
- Resolves non-conforming material issues, together with Quality, Operations and Suppliers, in order to identify corrective and preventive actions required.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost savings/avoidance and making appropriate system and process changes as necessary to execute.
- Partners with IS and master data teams, to implement minor configuration changes and maintain Purchasing Master Data.
- Assists in training end users on procurement policies and systems.
What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):
- Associate’s Degree ; Supply chain, business administration, engineering, operations or related discipline preferred
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) Certification from ISM (Institute of Supply Management) or APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) preferred
- 2 Years’ Experience in the use of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
