Checkout Cashier

Lifeworks Wellness Center is looking for an energetic new team member to join our medical practice in Clearwater, Florida. The Medical Check-Out Rep. is responsible for maintaining patient flow at the Check-Out desk and ensuring that patients get the assistance they need in a timely manner.

LifeWorks Wellness Center is the largest integrated practice in the US, as well as Florida’s top natural health clinic. We are proud to provide patients with alternative medical doctors that treat a wide range of chronic health conditions, naturally. People travel from all over the world to see our doctors and receive our lifesaving holistic treatment programs.

Duties will include:

• Welcome patients and their caregivers to the Check-Out desk by greeting them professionally and warmly.
• Answering all patient questions about prices for treatments, supplements, or other services that LifeWorks Wellness Center provides.
• Ensure all necessary and applicable paperwork is completed including: consents related to their purchase, receipt and invoice for each purchase.
• Verify and update information in the patient’s chart as needed.
• Ensure that no patient is left waiting too long, making the supervisor aware if assistance is needed.
• Clean, sanitize, and organize the check-out window minimally every few hours.

Education and/or Experience:

• 1 years in medical setting
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients.
• Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Minimum of 45 WPM.
• General office equipment knowledge (copy machine, fax, computer, etc.)
• Must be dependable, highly organized, systematic, and excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Language Skills:

• Must speak English. Must have excellent interactive communication skills, making patients feel comfortable and at ease.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, must be able to sit for periods up to 8 hours at a time. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Hours: This is a full-time hourly position with a 39 -hour workweek in the office, Monday-Friday as follows (training schedule will differ):

• Mon - 8:00a - 5:00p
• Tues-Thurs 8:45AM-5:00PM
• Fri-8:45AM-4:00PM
