Linguava is seeking a Linguist Recruiter. The Linguist Recruiter is responsible for ensuring Linguava has adequate interpreter resources to meet current language demand and support new business for onsite, over-the-phone and video remote interpreting sessions. This role is responsible for full cycle recruitment - identifying, recruiting, and onboarding qualified independently contracted interpreters to meet the language needs of Linguava’s clients. This role involves understanding language requirements, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and collaborating with various departments.
What You Will Do – Essential Responsibilities:
· Review and analyze reports to understand Linguava’s language requirements and client coverage rates.
· Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified interpreters with proficiency in various languages.
· Utilize various channels, including social media, job boards, community organizations and industry events to source potential interpreter candidates.
· Build and maintain a network of language professionals for future recruitment needs.
· Review interpreter resumes to assess qualifications and interpreting experience.
· Conduct thorough interviews to evaluate candidates’ communication skills, cultural understanding and suitability for specific assignments.
· Administer language proficiency assessments or collaborate with company approved language evaluators to assess candidates’ language fluency.
· Negotiate rates with newly sourced freelance interpreter candidates.
· Coordinate and conduct the onboarding process for new interpreters including orientation.
· Ensure all required documents and records are collected from candidate – signed agreement, up-to-date record of interpreter credentials, certifications and any applicable compliance documents.
· Run background checks and exclusion verification for interpreter candidate.
· Keep track of daily activities and monitor conversion rates to keep optimizing the sourcing strategies and processes.
· Meet monthly onboarding goals
· Build rapport and maintain strong interpreter candidate relationships.
· Think of innovative approaches to fulfill languages of limited diffusion (LLD) sourcing requirements.
· Collaborate with scheduling department team members to ensure interpreters are assigned to appropriate assignments promptly.
· Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in interpreter services.
· Continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for process improvement in interpreter recruitment.
· Attend industry events and conferences.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
· Proven experience in recruiting preferably in language services or a multicultural environment.
· Preferred - minimum one year experience working for a language service company
· Minimum two years of administrative/customer service experience
