Assistant Teacher : Afterschool Program
Lititz Christian School is a family environment where our teachers and staff are valued, cared for and equipped to teach the children in our care. Our summer camp & afterschool program provides care for children at Lititz Christian School, Warwick and Manheim Central school districts. This unique role will also give the potential applicant the skills and opportunity to grow in leadership, administratively and the education field.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the director and lead teacher to assist, oversee and engage with the students in your care.
- Work with the Early Learning Center team of teachers and contribute by giving oversight, ideas and creativity to the program.
- Work with your after school team to apply the weekly lesson plans summited by the coordinator for your site.
- Assist in creating a strong sense of community among staff and children.
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm
- Hourly incentive for this position. Increase $1-$3 per hour.
Requirements:
- High energy, engaging and team player
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in the field or childcare experience.
- Must successfully pass all background checks including fingerprint and reference checks.
- Ability to interact with children and the school age team, give direction and vision when needed.
- Minimum of 1500 hours of Childcare experience or equivalent education courses completed.
- Engaging, upbeat and warm personality.
- Enjoys working with children.
- Excellent communication, team player qualities
