Description
Behavior Services Coordinator for therapeutic day school program. Position includes 9 month academic calendar, 5 week ESY program and 1 week for Coordinator planning each Fall.
Responsibilities include conducting functional assessments and educational testing such as the VB_MAPP, ABLLS and AFLS. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, designed to increase social, communication, and daily living skills and decrease behavior problems. Through direct and indirect observation, and input from team members and consultants, write behavior protocols for implementation in classrooms or at community sites based on Positive Programming Principles. Develop behavior tracking forms. Train and assist staff on use of behavior programs and forms as needed. Participate an observe crisis situations as designated, ensuring protocols and paperwork completed correctly and debrief staff and provide additional training as needed.
Participate as a member of the Crisis Response Team and demonstrate behavior management techniques in accordance with safety policies and procedures and under the guidance of Safety Care trainers. Supervise behavior department staff and complete annual performance appraisals. Attend team meetings as well as weekly Coordinator meetings.
Requirements
Graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field. Must have BCBA certification. Minimum of 3 months of experience implementing behavior modification in a school setting.
