Lodestar is seeking compassionate and dedicated mental health clinicians to provide in-home and community-based psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults up to 21 years old. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about meeting youth where they are—both emotionally and physically—to support mental wellness, emotional regulation, and healthy development.
Our services focus on prevention, and treatment of mental health challenges, supporting youth who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, behavioral concerns, or difficulties with relationships and daily functioning. Services are delivered in the home and community to reduce barriers to care and promote meaningful, real-world skill development.
Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and motivated Per Diem Therapists to join our growing mental health team. This role is ideal for licensed clinicians or clinicians working under limited permits who are looking for flexible scheduling while providing high-quality, client-centered care.
Position Overview:
- Job Type: Part-Time / Per Diem
- Session Length: 60-minute weekly sessions
- Setting: In-home and community-based services
- Service Areas: Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn
We are currently hiring clinicians across these regions to meet the needs of families in diverse communities. While Lodestar strives to match clinicians with clients in preferred locations, assignments may vary based on client need and availability.
Schedule:
Hours are based on family and clinician availability.
- Ideal availability: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM (after-school hours)
- Flexible scheduling makes this role well-suited for clinicians attending school or working other positions
- Weekend availability is optional
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree and one of the following credentials:
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Master Social Worker Limited Permit (MSW-LP)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or MHC Limited Permit (MHC-LP)
- Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Lodestar offers individual and group supervision that may be applied toward your required clinical hours.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred for Long Island placements)
- Successful completion of State Child Abuse Registry clearance, fingerprinting, criminal background checks, and other required screenings.
Compensation:
Licensed Clinicians:
- $80.00 per service hour
- $120.00 per assessment (including report)
Limited Permit Clinicians:
- $65.00 per service hour
- $105.00 per assessment (including report)
- Pay increases upon successful licensure
