Outreach Director
The Outreach Director provides dynamic leadership and oversight to short and long-term projects that help those in need locally, nationally and globally; the director supports members and guests in their faith journey by identifying opportunities to grow through service.
Essential Functions:
· Creates and communicates a vision for outreach at both campuses.
· Develops a network of dedicated volunteer leaders to manage outreach projects and programs, and actively coaches them to maximize their success.
· Serves as a liaison with congregational ministry partners that provide services in the community.
· Coordinates and facilitates ongoing projects and maintains records of their operations.
· Provides hands on leadership for projects which have no designated lay leader.
· Helps members and guests identify opportunities to grow through service.
· Refers people in need who request assistance to local ministry partners.
Other Responsibilities:
· Participates in staff & director level meetings; works cooperatively with staff.
· Networks in the community and with other churches to develop shared resources.
Minimum Qualifications
· Excellent writing and public speaking skills.
· Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office .
· Demonstrated professional/volunteer experience in church outreach ministries.
· Demonstrated leadership and small group facilitation skills.
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Directly Supervises: Volunteer Outreach Ministry Coordinators
Status: Part-time 15-20 hours per week
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
