Nicknamed The Greatest Stadium in the World, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has hosted college football, professional football, two Olympics, a World Series game and numerous concerts since 1923.  As the home for Trojan Football, the Coliseum has become a symbol for University excellence and spirit. USC has committed $270 million to Coliseum renovations to guarantee its continuing presence as a premiere stadium well into the future, serving all Angelenos and Trojans alike.

Job Summary:
This position serves as facility operations representative for pre/during/and post events as necessary. Organizes and orchestrates flow of warehouse and related equipment inventory. Serves as an event/changeover staff who will move, pickup, deliver, and/or install equipment, furniture, and other materials as assigned/dictated by the event. Hang banners, signage, and drapery as needed. Assists with facility and event projects. Execute all event set-up and break-down based on event schedule. Assists with the execution of large scale and smaller facility events including athletic competitions, concerts, and community events. Assists with crowd management, ensures public safety, and demonstrates first class customer service. Responsible for inventory and disbursement small facility/event needs such as lighting, barricades, tables and chairs, and other event materials.
 
Job Accountabilities 
  • Responsible for moving, picking up, and/or delivering equipment, supplies, and other materials related to events. Installs furniture and objects such as framed art on walls. Delivers and installs rental equipment.
  • Facilitates warehouse equipment movement and event setup/teardown. 
  • Assists with supervising the work of temporary labor staff
  • Help with the assembly of event staging, event space layouts, and other event materials.  
  • Serves as facility contact to adjust event setups, monitor and deliver on-demand event changes and ensure facility is properly set for events. Serves as site contact for variety of small events ranging from onsite meetings to various youth sporting events. 
  • Facilitates small facility improvement projects including minor carpentry, painting, landscaping, lighting, mechanical, and/or plumbing under the supervision of the facilities department as dictated by event load.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons in any way possible and ensuring they have a great experience at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
             
Job Qualifications
  • High School diploma and 1 year of industry relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, or other related fields and a year of industry relevant experience.
  •  Valid CA driver's license required. Position will participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System. A copy of DMV record will be required as a final condition of employment. For more information please visit the policy website. 
  • Understanding and working knowledge of large venue, facility, or public assembly building operations and maintenance.
  • Experience in the setup, execution, and teardown of events is preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Some experience in the operation of light duty machinery (forklift, scissor lift, pallet jacks) is preferred.
  • Strong, professional communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
 
Additional Information 
  • This job will require a flexible schedule. May have to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays. 
  • Understand both verbal and written instructions in English
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
