Job Summary And Qualifications

Seeking an experienced Medical Records Clerk to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will assume responsibility for health and medical record information. Our team is amazing, we consider ourselves a family that works hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who feels that patient care is as meaningful as we do. • You will be responsible for reviewing and obtaining documentation for processing accounts in electronic work queues as assigned.
• You will provide general office support, primary phone answering, and retrieve, reconcile and prepare records for the HSC scan center.
• You will prepare loose material for HSC scan center and/or scan and index loose material received in the HIM department.
• You will use Meditech and other software programs required to complete job function.
• You will promptly retrieve/release those medical records including microfiche requested by the Emergency Department, nursing units, medical staff, medical auditor and other departments.
  
  

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 6 Months hospital/medical office/ Health Information Management experience desirable.
• Proficient keyboard skills, including 10-key.
• Ability to demonstrate clear oral and written communication.
• Good telephone protocol and the ability to maintain tact and professionalism at all times.
