Job Description:
Louis Berk Law is looking for add a superstar lawyer to work in their personal injury litigation department. Each applicant should have strong research, writing, and critical thinking skills. Excellent opportunity for professional growth as well as advancement within our firm. Pay structure will be salary plus bonuses based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Offer excellent customer service to our clients
- Manage a case load of personal injury litigation files
- Litigate files, attend depositions, hearings and when necessary be prepared to try cases
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents related to personal injury cases to provide informed advice and representation.
- Communicate professionally with team members, clients, opposing counsel, judicial employees/clerk, and other legal professionals.
- Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
Requirements:
- You must be bilingual (English and Spanish)
- 1-3 years of Personal Injury Litigation experience
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Proficient in using document management systems and electronic filing systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to excel in a fast-paced work environment, take direction and work with little supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiar with legal terminology, court proceeding and drafting pleadings, discovery, and legal documents.
- Familiar with court procedures, courtMap, JAWS and e-filing via e-portal.
- Active member and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
