Role Purpose Statement
As a Flight Coordinator at LSG Sky Chefs, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination and execution of inflight catering services for our airline clients. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the catering process, from menu planning to delivery, to guarantee that our clients' culinary requirements are met with precision and efficiency.
Main Accountabilities
Flight Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with airline representatives and internal departments to gather flight information, including schedules, passenger counts, and dietary preferences, to effectively plan and coordinate catering services for each flight.
Menu Planning and Customization: Work closely with our culinary team to develop menus that align with airline specifications and passenger preferences, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of inflight meals and beverages.
Order Management: Manage the ordering process for all catering supplies, including food, beverages, and equipment, to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely delivery to meet flight schedules.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that all catering products meet LSG Sky Chefs' stringent quality and safety standards, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate the logistical aspects of catering delivery, including loading and unloading of catering trucks, in compliance with aviation security protocols and safety regulations.
Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for airline clients, handling inquiries, requests, and any issues that may arise before, during, or after flights, and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to address client needs and ensure service excellence.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of flight catering activities, including orders, deliveries, and client feedback, and generate regular reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in airline catering, hospitality, or logistics operations highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy in all aspects of work.
