PIT Stand-Up Forklift

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Job description: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

· Perform pre and post trip inspections of equipment

· Load/unload material from trailers

· Ensure correct quality of material that is handled

· Ensure accuracy and recording of weights

· Use Gladhand locks when entering trailers

· General plant housekeeping

· Report equipment issues to supervisor/maintenance staff

Shift Hours: 1st Shift only--TEMP TO HIRE (7:00am-4:00pm)

Pay Range:  $20.00/ Hr

  Job duties

  • Take direction from supervisors regarding shipping, receiving and storage activities.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisor and co-worker.
  • Assist in shipping / receiving by loading/unloading trucks.
  • Ensure that inventory controls are followed and carried out to ensure quality and accuracy of inventory.
  • Operate forklift 90% of the time outdoors as orders come in.
  • Ensure general cleanliness; Organize / Maintain safe and clean work environment
  • Follow all Company safety procedures; Wear the proper safety equipment; Perform daily equipment/safety inspections.

    Experience/Education

    • High School diploma or Ged required
    • 2 years’ experience operating a forklift/skid steer
    •  Experience working in a fast-paced environment
    • High awareness to safety at all times

      Ability to demonstrate proficient operation of forklift and skid steer at the time of interview

      Ability to sit for extended periods of time

      Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

      Ability to operate equipment properly and safely
