What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Attendant position at Lueken's Food Stores, Inc.?
Availability- We are looking for a Variable or a Part Time Attendant to join our Deli Team. Must be able to work Mondays and Tuesdays, other days and hours are flexible.
```Duties:```
- Provide excellent customer service to all deli customers
- Assist customers with their deli orders and provide recommendations
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, such as sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Ensure food is properly handled, stored, and prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food quality and freshness
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the deli department
```Qualifications:```
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of retail math for pricing and sales calculations is a plus
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper sanitation procedures
