What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Retention Associate position at Mac Properties?
JOB OVERVIEW:
Accountable for the full scope of resident retention responsibilities including sending lease renewal offers and ensuring all lease paperwork is processed timely for transfer, tenant pass downs and renewals. This involves serving as a primary point of contact for residents who have pending lease renewals, transfers or pass downs.
This is a full-time role WITH BENEFITS.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete all lease paperwork for renewals, transfers and pass downs on a timely basis and in accordance with company and fair housing processes and requirements
- Manage lease renewal process with follow-up letters, telephone calls, pass-downs, tours, and completing transfers as needed to increase resident retention.
- Schedule and complete tours for individuals who are transferring units.
- Ensure that all tenants who renew, transfer or reside in a pass down unit meet Mac’s resident screening standards.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education requirements- High School diploma required. Bachelors’ degree preferred.
- Year of Experience requirements- 2 years of related multi-family property management experience.
- Vehicle and valid driver’s license and ability to do tours in a timely manner throughout the Hyde Park portfolio.
- Must have Real Estate Leasing Agent License or take the test and pass within allowed attempts after hire. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong computer skills required. Experience with Salesforce preferred. Use of company issued tablet required for role.

- Strong organization skills, multi-task and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to interact with management, peers, residents, visitors, and prospects in a professional and pleasant manner.
