Mackenthun’s Fine Foods is hiring motivated, hardworking, and positive Bakery Specialists. Mackenthun's Bakery Specialists greet every customer with a smile and assist customers with questions about Mackenthun's, Mackenthun's Bakery and Bakery products. This is a part-time position (between 8AM - 6 PM weekends)
Job Duties:
- Neatly and efficiently slice and package fresh bakery products.
- Keep Bakery shelves and displays fully stocked, rotating for freshness.
- Set up products for the Bakers.
- Help unload and store deliveries.
- Clean work areas, bakery shelving and displays, wash dishes, assist with product deliveries, and practice proper safe-handling of food products and personal safety.
- Maintain proper sanitation in the department at all times.
- Assist with seasonal decorations and displays.
- Assist with finishing off baked product, such as icing cookies or brownies.
- Take customer orders for Bakery products.
- May be cross-trained to fry donuts and decorate cakes/cookies/pastries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not necessary.
- Previous Bakery experience is preferred but not necessary
- MN Food Manager Certification optional, may be obtained after hire.
- Must be skilled in basic math.
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Problem solving and decision making skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required
- Must be honest and dependable, able to work independently and as a team member
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to clearly speak, read and write English.
- Must be able to respectfully and professionally communicate with managers, co-workers and customers.
