Experienced Veterinary Receptionist

Macland Animal Hospital is a prominent animal hospital located in Powder Springs, Georgia. We promise exceptional veterinary care to our clients and they expect the best client experience in the veterinary field. We are looking to add an experienced receptionist to our growing team!

**Candidates must have veterinary experience !!**

Receptionist responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The ideal candidate is an outgoing, friendly, team player with a minimum of 1-year experience in veterinary medicine. Applicants must have a professional work ethic, positive personality, excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment, provide a calm demeanor and have a passion for delivering exceptional care to clients.

Preferred experience:

• Greet clients and their pets. Inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming appointments, receiving and confirming the client's contact information, letting the medical team know the patient has arrived, and escort the client to the exam room with their pet.
• Assist clients with check-out including, but not limited to: ensuring services and product sales are correctly accounted for, using the practice management software system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment, and setting future appointments for follow-up visits.
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, answer questions about the hospital
• Make outbound phone calls to remind clients of upcoming appointments as well as reminding owners to fast their pet for surgery, set appointments for pets due for services, etc.
• Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
• Assist in the cleanliness and maintenance of the hospital to ensure a great client experience.
• A desire to learn more and grow professionally, specifically in the veterinary field.

**Previous veterinary reception experience is a must!!**

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years old.
• Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill, or in pain.
• Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.
• Has excellent client communication skills.
• Physical Effort: Work requires lifting, carrying, and restraining animals. Walks or stands for extended periods of time; frequently works in a bent, standing, and/or sitting position.'
