What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Madera Community Hospital?
Operates, inspects, maintains, repairs and documents the operation and status of the Hospital buildings and related systems and equipment. Provides other functions and services as necessary and appropriate to ensure a comfortable, safe environment as well as an orderly flow of the support activities of Hospital operations. Works on assigned construction and building projects with construction specialists. Will assist in emergency preparedness response and other hospital code responses per hospital policy and training.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent work experience.
Experience/Training:
Prefer 6 months experience in facility general maintenance or medical building maintenance.
Prefer apprentice education/training in a building trade.
Skills:
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of hand tools and portable and stationary power tools.
- Positive communication and guest relations skills. Promotes cooperation and teamwork.
- Forklift experience required.
- Computer Software knowledge helpful.
- Prefer Crises Intervention training.
License/Registration/Certification:
- Current California DMV License
- Current auto insurance
- Clean DMV record
- Forklift Operator Certification
