What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Bar Madisons position at MADISONS AT OLD EDWARDS INN LLC?
The Bar Supervisor reports to the Bar Manager and Assistant Bar Manager and supports the program by ensuring consistent, efficient service in all bar venues across property. Whether performing direct supervisory duties or taking an active role in production and service, they uphold the programs standards of detail, quality, and personalized guest service.
Responsibilities
Ensures bar staff adheres to all North Carolina ABC regulations
Takes a hands-on role in training and developing bar team and provides reports on their progress to bar management.
Minimizes waste and loss with responsible stewardship of bar inventory
Has strong knowledge of food and beverage options available in all bar venues
Oversees compliance with checklists in bar outlets, ensuring spaces are clean and attractive and bar team is prepared for all shifts
Proactively approaches and engages with guests during service to seek feedback and provide assistance
Completes daily post-shift service logs, thoroughly recording details of service, staff performance, and any guest issues
Previous supervisory experience is desired
Excellent communication and guest relation skills in English
The ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment
Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations including the ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results
Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and guests
Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidays
Essential duties require long periods of standing and walking as well as frequent reaching and kneeling, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting and moving objects 50 lbs. or more
Duties are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, with events often taking place in the elements in all four seasons. Events often involve loud music
