What You’ll Do
- Lead the department: Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll review, reconciliations, and cash management.
- Own the close process: Drive month‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Deliver actionable insights: Prepare financial statements, analyze variances, and present findings to senior leadership.
- Manage compliance: Oversee all tax filings and regulatory requirements, including sales tax, 1099s, and business property tax.
- Shape the future: Implement process improvements, automation tools, and stronger internal controls to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Be a mentor: Hire, train, and develop accounting staff while fostering collaboration and accountability.
What You’ll Bring / Required
- Master’s degree in Accounting or CPA preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with proven leadership in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
- Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience in healthcare or a related industry is a plus.
