Systems Engineer, MagniX USA, Inc., Everett, WA:
Job Duties:
- Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products to be used in electric propulsion systems.
- Perform Domain of Change and regression analysis for aircraft.
- Deliver integrated Modular Power mechanical designs for components and assemblies.
- Perform mechanical design analysis, including thermal, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), structural, design for assembly and design for test.
- Analyze test results and problems to determine design or system changes needed.
- Train team members and work with suppliers on-site.
- Provide technical customer service on an ongoing basis.
- Recommend the use of utility or energy services that minimize carbon footprints.
- Provide feedback to design engineers and provide support to close-loop bench, test cell, and integrated test facilities.
- Investigate and report discrepancies, analyze cascade effects of proposed fix and other closed discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other mechanical, systems, electrical, aeronautical, manufacturing, industrial design and test engineers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering
Experience: Two years of experience in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering occupation or closely related field
SKILLS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of experience in the following:
- Contribute to the development of hardware in the loop test bench and maintain mechanical products or processes to meet the requirement for Propulsion Units.
- Perform calibration of the test bench, acceptance test procedures, and running verification for aircraft.
- Perform root cause analysis on Closed Loop Bench (CLB), changing Software and hardware for aircraft.
- Analyze definition, testing, verification, and validation of Control System Requirement Document (CSRD) for engine of aircraft.
- Draft, verify and validate whole system and sub-system-level requirements in compliance with DO-178C, DO-254, and ARP- 4754.
- Perform testing, verification, and validation on aircraft engine models.
- Oversee High Level requirements of Software (HLR), Application Software change request (ASCR), and OS ASCR, and check compliance.
Basic pay range is one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars to one hundred and ninety-five thousand dollars annually for full-time employment.
