Wellness Aide
Majestic Care is currently looking for Wellness Aides to work alongside clinical staff assisting with the day-to-day needs of residents.
With the completion of a temporary nurse aide training class and orientation (at no expense to you), you will work alongside our care team members to assist our patients/residents with their activities of daily living.
You will ensure that patients'/residents' and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual resident's needs and rights.
Position Overview:
To perform defined resident care procedures that do not require the skill or training required for a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). The Wellness Aide is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with room changes; remove linen, sanitize bed and replace with clean linen
- Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety, and privacy
- Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby, and activities)
- Follow proper infection control techniques
- Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality
- Follow safe working practices and report any incidents promptly to Clinical Director.
- Treat all residents with kindness, respect, and dignity
- Must demonstrate empathy, courteous, kind, and professional workplace behavior and customer services to all residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors and family members at all times.
- Attends all mandatory in-services; and completes timely all necessary trainings scheduled to perform. Stay informed with supervisor or manager all necessary policies, procedures, and business practices within the scope of the position held to effectively perform all duties assigned.
Qualifications:
Must hold an active CPR license or the ability to obtain within the first 30-days of hire; Must be kept active and current throughout employment.
Assist when needed with cleaning and sanitizing reside t rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms, and other areas of the community.
Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice.
