What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Clinical Assistant position at Mankato Clinic?

8:00am-5:00pm
The Clinical Assistant is involved with the day-to-day operations of the MRI Department within Diagnostic Imaging. The MRI Clinical Assistant works closely with the MRI Technologist, DI Manager, Director and Radiologists to care for our patients. The MRI Clinical Assistant requires minimal supervision, assists with MRI imaging workflows in order to provide quality patient care, assumes responsibility for designated services and assists the MRI Technologist and DI Manager in administration and management of meeting goals and objectives that are set forth by the Mankato Clinic’s Board of Directors and Administration.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience Required:
- Formal training which may be indicated by a high school diploma
- Clerical skills including ability to utilize office computers/programs
- Current BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start date.
- Attention to detail, great teamwork skills & excellent communication skills required.
- Must pass MRI safety clearance as determined by department
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Prefer at least 1-2 years working as a Clinical Assistant, Nursing Assistant or in direct patient care.
- A general knowledge of medical practice, dedication to patient satisfaction, and an ability to work effectively with all providers, staff and patients.
