Rapid Development Services (RDS) is an industrial automation equipment builder providing design, fabrication, integration, installation of manufacturing production machinery along with providing contract manufacturing services to clients. RDS is looking for a Sales Associate on contract basis with a minimum of three years’ experience in countrywide sales in the industrial Automation equipment field, to grow our customer base in various manufacturing domains.
Job Duties
· Develop new clients and manage an existing account base of industrial clients that are looking for a manufacturing automation line for their existing or new products.
· Utilize technical skills and knowledge of industrial products and basic knowledge of industrial automation or contract manufacturing to determine viable client and projects.
· Assist in processing quotes, manage contacts and organize new-product presentations.
· Ability and willingness to travel to customers and trade shows
· Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion to sales of industrial automation equipment and/or contract manufacturing business
· Be knowledgeable of our capabilities and services
· Emphasize the features of our capabilities to highlight how they solve issues
· Answer questions about the solution offered, company questions, terms and conditions
· Prepare sales contracts for equipment and contract manufacturing
· Maintain contact list and follow up with customers to continue relationships
· Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities
· Generate sales reports to management
Skills and Qualifications
· Proficient with Microsoft Outlook Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF
· Customer services skills to listen to the customer and address their needs
· Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and make sales
· History of working in the industrial automation industry is a plus and/or contract manufacturing industry
· Schedule and perform demonstrations with potential customers to inform them of our capabilities
· Physical endurance to stand for long hours at trade shows
· Bachelor’s degree in one of the following area Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics is preferred.
