Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek. Job Type Temporary Department Elections About the Position The Elections Recruiter assists with recruiting temporary employees and Poll Workers to ensure all temporary staff is hired and in place to support the 2023 Election Cycles. The Elections Department is looking to hire temporary Recruiters for the Downtown Phoenix Facility (MCTEC). Job Contributions Onboard and schedule training for temporary staff Oversee sign-in and sign-out process for temporary employees Assists with poll worker payroll and time entry tracking Conduct data collection and recruitment surveys to support program evaluation and identify improvements Working Conditions Mandatory overtime during all election cycles Work primarily occurs in a business office setting Ability to move objects lifting floor to waist (up to 25 pounds) and pushing/pulling (up to 50 feet) Will be required to travel to the Phoenix (MCTEC) office on election days Selection Procedure Only the most qualified candidates will be considered Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications Candidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profile Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive Maricopa County is an equal opportunity employer.
