Employment, Labor & Workforce Management Associate Attorney - Newark, NJ
Our client, an Am Law 200 law firm, is seeking an attorney to work in its growing national management-side Employment, Labor & Workforce Management (ELWM) practice. This is a hybrid opportunity based in the firm’s Newark, New Jersey office.
The estimated salary range for this position is $240,000 - $260,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of relevant labor and employment law experience
- Knowledge of federal and state labor & employment laws (e.g., Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and similar state laws)
- Experience handling all aspects of litigation such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs, conducting, and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances
- Experience providing advice and counsel on workplace matters, including hiring, onboarding, employee discipline and discharge, wage and hour compliance, employee relations, mitigation of risk, workplace accommodations, leave management, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies is also beneficial
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Admission to practice law in New Jersey
