Position Summary
Markey's, a multi-state leading provider of creative audio-visual services, is seeking a full-time Office Administrator to provide clerical and administrative support for Accounting and other support departments. This position will also coordinate office activities and operations, and will work closely with hotel sales teams to process event billing.
This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position with typical daytime office hours Monday through Friday. Position is based at Markey's Headquarters Office near downtown Indianapolis.
Position Responsibilities
- Make travel/flight arrangements for crews traveling to events and for new hire onboarding.
- Answer multi-line switchboard and route calls as appropriate.
- Greet all incoming customers and visitors and notify appropriate employees.
- Order and restock vending machine, breakroom, and office supplies.
- Sort and distribute all incoming mail and packages.
- Maintain organization and aesthetics of general office areas, conference rooms, and breakroom.
- Process credit card transactions.
- Process exhibitor orders.
- Process weekly billing for venues.
- Provide filing assistance for Accounting department.
- Operate and maintain postage meter machine.
- Perform administrative tasks for Accounting department and other departments as requested.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills. Must be friendly, courteous, and helpful to all internal and external customers.
- Must have high attention to detail, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent telephone etiquette skills; professional speaking voice.
- Must maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance at all times.
- Must have good math aptitude and be able to handle and reconcile money.
- Basic computer skills a must with knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to multi-task with numerous interruptions.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently, and follow directions from management.
