Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant is an integral part of the office. This person will assist the Controller with all general accounting functions and activities. A significant focus will be on administering payroll and benefits for an 80-person construction company. The staff accountant will be the first point of contact for human resource and benefit questions. Will play a role in the onboarding and training of new employees.

Required Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge of GAP and basic accounting principles
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
· Associated degree in accounting
· 2 years of experience in construction accounting
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods are sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
