MHS - Full Time Educational Assistant

Position:  Educational Assistant supporting Driver’s Education and Study Hall

The Educational Assistant supports the high school educational environment by supervising students during study hall periods and assisting the driver’s education teachers. This role ensures a safe and productive learning atmosphere by monitoring student behavior, taking attendance, and facilitating communication between students and teachers.

• Details:  Full–time position (188 days, 7 hours per day)
• Start date: August 25, 2025

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in education preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage and supervise groups of students effectively
• Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail
• Familiarity with school rules, policies, and student management techniques is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in study hall, ensuring adherence to school rules and expectations

• Monitor student behavior and address issues promptly according to school policies
• Communicate regularly with teachers regarding student work assignments and progress
• Assist with general classroom support as needed to enhance student learning experiences
