Job Summary
The Snowmaker Supervisor at Massanutten serves as a team lead for operational success and training of snowmaking team members. This position is responsible for organizing and leading a team of snowmakers with an emphasis on safety while operating and maintaining modern snowmaking equipment. Other responsibilities include electrical and mechanical problem-solving, heavy equipment operation, snow cat operation, and grounds & facilities maintenance. This position requires working outside for extended periods in inclement weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
Required
Excellent communication skills

Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on sloped terrain
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Preferred
Proficiency in electrical wiring and schematics
Proficiency in mechanical systems
Welding experience
Heavy equipment operation experience
Typical Schedule
Days:
Varies, weather-dependent; weekends and holidays as needed
Hours:
Rotating, hours vary including evening and night work.
Required to work 40 hours per week as needed November-March.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise snow production team to ensure they are working safe and efficiently
- Train new and returning employees in compliance with resort, state, and federal safety policies and practices
- Install and retrofit new and existing snowmaking equipment
- Upgrade manual snowmaking equipment to include automation to maximize efficiency
- Other duties as assigned by management
