What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Restoration Field Technician position at MasterCare Protection and Cleaning?

Must be able to work weeknights and Saturdays.

Work for a small, growing company that is in need of Honest, Hard working and Reliable technicians. There are also opportunities to become a Lead Technician, which includes increased pay and bonuses.

Under general supervision, you will be restoring and polishing metal surfaces. You will also be sanding, cleaning and oiling natural hardwoods. You will also be assisting with Stone, Carpet, and Tile & Grout cleaning if needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to work weeknights and Saturdays.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles
  • Operate Metal polishing and buffing machines
  • Operate Hand Sanders and Floor Cleaning machines
  • Participate in periodic training on the appropriate use of solutions, machines, and other subjects pertaining to business operations
  • Maintain a high level of personal grooming and appearance
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance.
  • Must have a great attitude and a professional behavior
  • Must speak fluent English and be able to communicate effectively with employees and customers
  • Establishes job priorities and maintains awareness for workmanship issues; promptly communicates findings to Supervisor, Operations Director, Customer Support, as appropriate.
  • Maintains all aspects of work place organization.
  • Maintains equipment in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Perform other job tasks as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications Guidelines

Experience/Training/Education: Must have at least 1 year experience with polishing and restoring Metal surfaces.

Required: High School Diploma or GED; No previous experience necessary

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure; ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions; Significant eye for detail; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures; ability to accept constructive criticism; ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently; ability to properly document data and maintain accurate records; ability to provide excellent customer service to others; ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with management, customers, vendors, and other employees.

Physical and Environmental Elements:

This is a production classification and employees work in a service environment with exposure to noise, chemicals and machinery. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to lift parts and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
