- Act as data liaison between business leaders; partner with data producers/consumers to ensure assumptions are being satisfied
- Work with cross functional stakeholders to translate business needs into product requirements which may be needed to track key metrics
- Ensure derived data fields are correctly computed and uploaded
- Develop dashboards and reports to enable all levels of business users gain actionable insights and make data driven decisions
- Build data sets to be published for self-service data exploration and analytics
- Work with product and engineering to identify the highest-impact data products with the highest risk of inaccuracy
- Perform data analysis to assess the impact and deliver insights on changes to our business processes
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, clean, and organize data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and reliability. Perform advanced data analysis and develop data models to extract meaningful insights.
- Data Visualization: Create informative and visually appealing dashboards and reports to present data findings effectively to stakeholders. Use tools like Tableau, Power BI, or others to communicate insights.
- Predictive Modeling: Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to forecast trends, identify patterns, and make recommendations for decision-makers.
- Data Interpretation: Translate complex data into actionable insights and articulate recommendations for business strategy, process improvements, and other initiatives.
- Hypothesis Testing: Design reporting to support business led A/B tests and experiments to evaluate the impact of changes and initiatives.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency and recommend data quality improvements when necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and finance, to support their data-related needs and collaborate on data-driven projects.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, data analytics or a related field
- Experience with writing queries using SQL
- Experience with Tableau or other similar tools for building Dashboards and Reports
- Preferred experience with ETL, data modeling, and business intelligence big data architectures
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and aggressive attention to detail
- Passion for technology - we are looking for someone who is keen to leverage their existing skills and seek out new skills and solutions
- Expertise in data visualization tools
- Team player with an ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional and cross continent environment
- A basic understanding of statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) and familiarity with statistical packages, such as Matlab, R, SAS or Python
- Basic familiarity with the AWS cloud ecosystem
