Key Requirements & Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations, labor laws, and implementing safety training to prevent accidents.
Recruitment & Retention: Sourcing and hiring with strategies to manage high turnover typical in manufacturing.
Operational Training & Development: Developing training programs to keep associates current with production technologies and equipment.
Performance & Payroll Management: Establishing clear performance standards related to production efficiency and handling payroll/compensation, including benefits administration.
Employee Relations & Culture: Creating a positive, safe, and engaging working environment to manage potential burnout from repetitive or high-demand work.
Policy Implementation: Developing and enforcing an employee handbook outlining safety, conduct, and attendance policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: More than five years of experience in HR management. Experience in manufacturing or operations is highly valued to understand industry-specific challenges.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to build relationships across the organization. Proactive problem solver with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems and payroll software. SHRM certification is a plus.
