Assistant Production Supervisor

The 3rd shift assistant supervisor supports the division supervisor by organizing workflow with assignments, by preparing employee schedules and by initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures and assuring that product being manufactured conforms to NNBC standards.

3rd shift is small but very important to the compression molding division and the entire company! Because of the smaller shift, this position is expected to perform some quality checks throughout the shift on both departments that run throughout the shift. Other duties include:

• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are attained for all departments supervised.
• Review with 2nd shift supervisor(s) and group leader’s production plans, issues and actions to enable smooth transition from 2nd to 3rd shift.
• Review with 1st shift supervisors at the end of the shift production plans, issues and actions to enable smooth transition from 3rd to 1st shift.
• Maintain daily production schedule utilizing MS Excel software.
• Enter daily production rates for employees.
• Assist and maintain machine schedules, overall department schedule and daily employee job assignments.
• Confirm daily that the in-process QC checks are completed as required, in each department on the shift.
• Enter production cards daily: labor entries and material issues.
• Cover for breaks in both departments.
• Provide daily communications to other supervisor's and the quality team.
• Other misc. duties as assigned
