Our May Center Schools for Autism and Developmental Disabilities offer full-day, year-round educational services to children and adolescents. Focusing on building communication, social, behavioral, vocational, and academic skills. Through hundreds of scientific studies to be the most effective method to teach. We base our programs on applied behavior analysis, or ABA, which has been shown children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities.
The primary function, under the direction of the Education Director, is to assist teachers with the selecting, planning and integrating of technology in classroom settings, train teachers to use technology in an effective manner, and work with the Director of Education in curriculum development as it relates to educational technology.
The Technology Teacher will work and interact with students across the autism spectrum including those with significant challenging behaviors and required to implement physical management procedures as needed, using Safety Care approved interventions.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring delivery of educational technology in the classrooms.
- Work with teaching and clinical staff to integrate technology into the curriculum. Some direct instruction with students.
- Work with Curriculum Specialist to identify connections between curriculum and educational technology
- Work in concert with the IT department to identify and maintain appropriate hardware and software solutions and provide basic troubleshooting for technology related issues.
- Responsible for ensuring delivery of educational technology to the staff.
- Trains staff in the use of technology. Assist in the development of technology plans for students as appropriate and model them.
- Responsible for remaining current in Educational Technology and related
- Bachelors in related field (Special Ed, Education Tech, etc.)
- Experience working with students with developmental disabilities in a school setting
