This is a combo role requiring a well-rounded professional with strong experience in both disciplines. The ideal candidate will be flexible, dependable, and capable of bouncing between plumbing and pipefitting tasks based on project demands.

Safety- The Most Important thing we do

- High School Diploma (or GED, High School Equivalence Certificate). Preferred but not required.

- Install, maintain, and repair piping systems including Heating Water, Chilled Water, Condenser Water, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Lab & Medical Gases, Refrigeration, Fuel & Oil, and High & Low-Pressure Steam.
- Encompasses all General Foreman I Roles and Responsibilities as well as the following:
- Ability to run multiple projects.
- Work with various piping materials including Steel/Carbon, Copper, PVC/PCV, Poly, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum.
- Perform testing, inspections, and documentation to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications.
- Interpret and work from plans, specifications, VDC/BIM models, spool sheets, and drawings.
- Implement lockout/tag-out procedures to ensure workplace safety.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new team members on the job site.
- Coordinate crew tasks and workflow under established procedures.
- Assist in the development, tracking, and execution of daily and weekly trade activity schedules.
- Provide direct supervision and technical guidance to crews of 9-14 individuals.
- Foster a trainer/teacher mentality, mentoring apprentices and less experienced workers.
- Coordinate and track daily and weekly crew activities, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with McCarthy Safety Guidelines and Procedures, working with Corporate Safety Managers as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate jurisdictional inspections, monitor progress, performance, and quality of work for subcontractors and vendors.
- Resolve conflicts within the team and among trade partners.
- Manage trade-related material, tool, and equipment requisitions, including tracking and servicing logs.
- Report weekly labor and productivity to the General Foreman and Superintendent.
- Implement detailed work plans and Task Hazard Analysis (THA) policy.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by being able to run to multiple projects at a time.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of McCarthy Safety Guidelines and Procedures.
- Ensures all installations adhere to code requirements and project specifications.
- Maintains tools and equipment in a serviceable condition.
- Uses materials efficiently to support project success and profitability.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial pipefitting experience.
- Prior leadership experience required (3 years).
- Minimum 8 years’ total experience.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Strong technical skills and ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and codes.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team while ensuring project efficiency and quality.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Valid journeyman license preferred ($1.00 increase to base pay if licensed).
- Experience in planning trade installations, scheduling work activities, and managing workforce productivity.
- Supervision and guidance of crews with 9-14 individuals.
