Hiring Experienced Shop Service Technicians for our McCoy Construction and Forestry Dealership in Evansville, IN
McCoy Construction and Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South Central Regions, has an opening for a Shop Service Technician.
The Shop Service Technician position is responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel and gasoline industrial, construction and forestry equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to make major and minor repairs on construction and forestry equipment, including but not limited to, diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, transmission and axles, cooling systems, chassis repairs, and some welding.
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance including inspections, oil changes, attachment installation, etc.
- Utilize a computer or mobile device to perform diagnostic tests and maintain accurate records of repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness in the shop.

Shop Technician Requirements:
- Heavy equipment and construction equipment experience required
- 2-year associate degree from a technical school
- 2 years of related diesel technician experience
- Engine overhaul experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have basic computer skills
