About your role:
The Parts Consultant is the initial contact for customers when they call or come into the Parts Department and is responsible for assisting and locating the right parts, giving them pricing, and handling payment.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
- Assists customers with sales and returns, select necessary parts, suggests companion requirements, offers specials, upsells, and ensures the customer is provided the appropriate parts.
- Pulls purchased parts from stock, and if part(s) is unavailable, determines availability and submits appropriate order if the customer requests.
- Answers phone calls, establish good customer relationships, responds to questions, and provides price quotes.
- Ensures that all parts-related documents are accounted for and obtains complete and accurate customer and vehicle data.
- Properly and completely processes payments and all accompanying paperwork.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Follow scheduled hours as needed, defined by your manager.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Automotive trade school is preferred.
Type of Experience Needed to be Successful:
- 1 year of experience in Dealership Parts is required.
- 3 years of progressive experience in auto parts service is preferred.
- Prior experience with shipping/receiving and dealing directly with manufacturers preferred.
Specialized Skills:
- Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software/internet proficiency.
- Proficient knowledge of dealer management systems.
- Hands-on, team-oriented, and committed to business improvement processes.
- Familiarity with specific dealer brand parts is preferred.
- Strong desire to work on a team and collaborate with others.
- High drive for tremendous customer service.
