Job Summary: The Cashier is primarily responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.

Greet customers and provide a positive and welcoming experience
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using a cash register or point-of-sale system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products and services offered
- Ensure that the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
- Assist with stocking and restocking merchandise as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent customer service
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred
- Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register or point-of-sale system is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends and occasional holidays.
- Knowledge of building materials or construction industry is a plus
