The Creative Audio team is looking for an experienced Sound Designer. As a Sound Designer, you must have a passion for sound, and a demonstrated history of sound design for interactive and immersive experiences. You will be an instrumental part in the day-to-day sound design across audio experiences. Candidates must also have the ability to collaborate closely with other team members and cross-functional product teams, as well as provide creative feedback. Strong communication skills are required.
ResponsibilitiesCreate world-class sound design for immersive AR / VR and MR experiencesCollaborate closely with all partners to determine scope of work, planning and execution of sound design and implementationGain a deep understanding of product voice in order to maintain quality and leverage existing content for product consistency and efficiencyPrepping and testing for implementation accuracy as well as collaborating with internal and external team members to address bugs and optimize sounds in the product
Minimum Qualifications5 years creating sonic experiences for products in mobile, hardware, and non-traditional or immersive environmentsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExpert in Pro Tools and / or other professional DAWsExperience designing audio for family-friendly product experiencesAble to manage, scope, and communicate project milestones and deliverables with third-party vendorsExperience creating original sound design for high-profile productsExperience testing implementation of soundsExperience working with and creating SFX / Foley / Dialog / MusicTroubleshooting and problem solving skillsTime-management and organizational skills to meet delivery specifications and deadlines
Preferred QualificationsExperience in Mobile and AR audio experiences (preferably Spark)Experience in designing audio for AR and VR experiencesExperience with game engines (Unity, Unreal)Experience with AR design tools (Spark, Snap Studio)Experience implementing audio for (Unity, Unreal and / or Spark)Experience with audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD)Ability to record in a studio and on locationPost-production skills, including editing and masteringKnowledge of acoustics, equipment set ups and calibrationAbility to mix in a variety of formats, including spatial audioVideo editing skills (Premier Pro, Final Cut, Avid, etc)
