Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent from a state or federal accrediting organization and a minimum of two years of experience in administrative and clinical support within a medical clinic setting
Performs a variety of clinical and administrative support duties, to include assisting clinical providers during examinations and procedures, performing various laboratory tests, ensuring immunization compliance, documenting patient information clearly and accurately and providing patient education on a wide variety of healthcare topics. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provides direct patient care in accordance with certification as a Certified Medical Assistant:

- Job Summary
Performs a variety of clinical and administrative support duties, to include assisting clinical providers during examinations and procedures, performing various laboratory tests, ensuring immunization compliance, documenting patient information clearly and accurately and providing patient education on a wide variety of healthcare topics. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provides direct patient care in accordance with certification as a Certified Medical Assistant:
- Screens patients for chief complaint and vital signs; makes patient appointments; performs venipuncture, dressing changes and assists clinical providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Documents information clearly and accurately with attention to details, to include Electronic Health Record, e-prescribing platform as a provider’s agent and other healthcare documents as needed.
- Communicates effectively with clinical care team to improve patient care, including but not limited to bringing items of immediate concern to the appropriate provider.
- Assists patients to achieve health goals; demonstrates patient advocacy, assuring patients’ right to privacy, safety and confidentiality.
- Administers oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular medications, PPD skin tests and vaccines as per protocol or by direct written order of a provider.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned, to include administrative duties and staff orientation as needed.
