The primary function of the Shipping Team Lead is to ensure the safe and effective day-to-day operations of the Shipping Department. The Shipping Team Lead reports to the Shipping Supervisor.

Responsabilities & duties:
- Prepare Shipments
- Utilize MEDWMS scanners for pick/pack of customer orders as needed
- Ensure timely processing and scheduling of SCTs in accordance with procedure
- Coordinate all International orders with International Team
- Ensure proper packaging and documentation for Hazardous materials
- Shipping Management
- Provide proper training/guidance to shipping employees
- Monitor the operation and ensure compliance with cGMPs
- Analyze the operation and act in a proactive manner
- Track progress of operation and manage the development of the Team
- Collaborate with other departmental Team Leads as needed
- Inventory maintenance of supplies
- Ensure all DOT/IATA requirements are fulfilled for all shipments
- Customer Service/Order Fulfillment
- Collaborate with Customer Service Team as needed
- Monitor all validated shipments, make necessary changes/updates in SYSPRO
- Investigate all order discrepancies with Inventory Team
- Ensure all committed orders are processed properly and shipped on a daily basis
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum one (1) year experience in supervisory or team lead position
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a warehouse environment, Shipping experience in chemical/pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Heavy lifting required at times in excess of 25kg
- Accountable, Dependable, Team player with strong communications skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Knowledge of SYSPRO/MEDWMS an asset
- Experience with FEDEX/UPS software an asset
- Certification in DOT/IATA an asset
- Ability to use FORKLIFT and other powered equipment an asset
