SCHEDULE:
There are two shifts for Lot Attendants: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. to close of business, both Monday through Saturday. This position is non-exempt from overtime and must be available to work before or after hours as necessary.
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for improving the appearance of a vehicle, both inside and out, in order to look presentable for the customer. The lot attendant is also responsible for relocating vehicles on the lot and other miscellaneous tasks as requested by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares vehicles for customer presentation or lot display
- Inspects vehicles for cleanliness and damage
- Scrub, scrape, or spray vehicles, using scrapers, brushes, clothes, cleaners, disinfectants, acid, abrasives, vacuums, and hoses
- Identify any vehicle needs
Operation of motor vehicles
- Drive vehicles on lot, to and from workshops, and to customers' workplaces or homes
- Drive vehicle to customer
- Position/arrange vehicle on the lot
Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of lot, patio, and showroom
- Clean and maintain lot and patio
- Gather and empty trash
- Clean showroom floors
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors (using appropriate cleaning products)
Special Events
- Assist with the set-up and tear-down for all company events
- Prepare lot, patio and showroom according to the needs of each event
- Assist with necessary duties during events
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Experience
- 2 years of experience in a physical labor position is preferred
Education / Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED, required
Certifications / Licensures
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record as outlined by company policy
Skills
- Operate all types of automobile including manual transmission
- General automotive knowledge
- Flexible to change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
